Emotion and attention

Abstract This paper first demonstrates that recognition of the diversity ways emotional responses modulate ongoing attention generates what I call puzzle , which turns on fact distinct emotions (e.g., fear, happiness, disgust, admiration etc.) have different attentional profiles. The concerns why this is case, such a solution consists in explaining profiles they do. It then provides an account functional roles emotions, as tied to their evaluative themes, explains and further elucidates distinctive so solving attention. Following that, it outlines how are reflected character experience its phenomenology. resulting picture more detailed connections between emotion than currently offer philosophical literature.
